Our new Uniform Policy looks to achieve 3 main aims

1. To serve as a prominent symbol of the school’s dedication to excellence, nurturing both educational high standards and the children’s self-esteem.

2. It encourages self-respect among pupils and acts as an equaliser

3. It forms an important part of our shared identity and helps create an environment where everyone feels valued and equal.

In line with new Government guidelines we have adopted a new uniform policy with effect from September 2026. It explains how we make uniform accessible to all our pupils, keeps costs contained by making most items accessible on the high street but retains the school shop for convenience as expressed by parents in our recent consultation. Finally, it offers the best value for money for all parents and carers.

The school uniform, worn by all children, is an important and distinctive feature of the school. We place an emphasis on achieving high standards of dress and appearance because we believe it encourages the children to take pride in themselves and their school. We therefore ask parents to ensure that their children always wear the correct uniform at the correct time of year. Long hair should be tied back, and short hair should be above the collar and the ears and not have any dramatic changes in length i.e. it should blend from shorter to longer without any dramatic changes in length or lines of demarcation. Hair styles should be neat and discreet. Jewellery is limited to watches and plain gold or silver stud earrings.

Please take time to read our policy, the policy comes into effect from September 2026. The school will continue to sell existing items until stock runs out. We have also included our consultation pack below, so you can see the results of the parent consultation ran earlier this year.  We thank our parents for their contributions and hope that you feel your views represented in the policy.
