Why do we think that School Council is so important?

To give students the chance to have their say in matters that affect them. (Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) says that children and young people should have a say in decisions that affect their lives.] 

To teach children about democracy. 

To provide opportunities for problem solving, leadership and service. 

To inspire and equip students to have a positive impact on their school and local community.
